Is this software what game makers use for music + sfx for their games?

There was this video that Sam Hogan made and one of the clips contained him making music for his video. I am asking this question because this software suspiciously looks like the one in his video.

Yeah people use this to make music and stuff. Brackeys has a good tutorial on how to use this.

So I tried to open it, but it told me to get Adobe Air.  I installed Adobe Air and it still tells me to do this or contact the creator. So here I am.

The online version is gone.

I downloaded for Linux and after going through everything the music just doesn't play. I press space and the play button and it simply doesn't play. Anyone had this problem?

(+2)

I can't even open it on linux.

(+2)

Yeah, i found out the best way is just to download wine and download the windows version

By now the Adobe Air installation instructions for Linux don't work anymore either, so Wine all the way

Link to online version broken and mac not updated.

(-1)

yeah same

(+1)

Can you please update it for mac? It won't run!

Amazing app( My first Song)

(+5)

Not working with macOS Catalina.  Is it 32 bit app?

(+3)

Hi, Terry! I'm finding your program very helpful for my little music-making hobby, but lately I realized that it NEVER saves my track (the .ceol itself) whenever there's a block that has Advanced Filtering on. Exporting works, just not the CEOL file.

It's sad to say that this has made me lose hours of progress, so I hope you would please look into it.

Anyhow, I'm grateful for this tool. Keep up the good work!

(-1)

is the program copyright free, or do we have to credit you

(+2)

Bosca Ceoil is completely free, and open source!

(+3)

Hello! This doesn't work on mac right now... Any updates?

I have a solution for MacOS Just download the adobe air version for linux and use adobe air to open it and then it works the only drawback is that the scaling is broken so you can only use it fullscreen mode

I love this, perfect to create simple music loops. However, this no longer works on the Mac; it needs to be updated for the new MacOS. Still works on Windows, but I'd love to be able to use this program with my Mac! Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

You could use wine too.  It isn't the best I know, but it's better than nothing

really great! thanks for the software!

(+3)

Hi. Thanks for developing the great tool. Unfortunately it doesn't work on Mac anymore. Are you planning to update the Mac version to 64 bit?

Hi ! I love it. I am a hobbyist developer. I am not musician at all, but I have been able to do the musics of my 1st game with this great tool. The game is published on itch.io .  It's a free 2d adventure platformer: Nightmare Therapy. If you want, feel free to give me your feedback on the musics, and anything you want ;)

I like it!
But is there a way to change volume for one single note?

(+1)

No longer works on Mac as Catalina has taken away 32bit apps.  Will this be updated?

I love this so much. The tutorial is amazing, more serious DAWs should have run-throughs like that.

most likeley not since the creator has likely stopped working on the program or can't bother with making a mobile port.

Hey! I LOVE this application, could you please make a mobile version? I would love it if you did! Thanks!

It's a great app but whenever I load a file the song comes out slow and distorted. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

it's so easy and fun to use. thanks for this!

hi, can you update the Mac system's software? I cannot install it

Can you import samples or wavs for instruments? I'm asking because all the instruments sound the same. Am I missing a setting?

Nope, sorry!

Interesting tool.  Aren't you the guy that wrote one of my favorite casual games (Super Hexagon)?  I'm going to have to check out some of your other stuff.  I haven't gotten around to checking out VVVVVV yet, but definitely among games I own.  Not a lot of time for gaming these days.  Making them yes, playing them no.  You should check out the FlatRedBall project sometime if you're interested at all in developing in C#.  Very cool framework that works with MonoGame and the author is very helpful.

That happened to me to, try restarting? It fixes it eventually.
