I'd recommend NOT having a hidden mix of mechanics with 'saves your progress but only this session' AND 'saves your progress between sessions' without explaining it to the player.
I was pretty far through the wretched rotatey platforms sequence but since each bit was worse than the last I got frustrated and took a break. I knew the game saved progress from previous experience, so I closed the browser tab. Unfortunately, when I came back and 'continue'd, I was back in the carton and seemingly no way to continue from my actual last save point, instead I have to redo all of that. So that's a wrap for me.
Could you perhaps add an "invert y eggsis" option? I'm having a really hard time warping my egg around mouse controls opposite to those that I've been used to for decades now...>_<
I downloaded this game as a joke but this game is genuinely so good! I loved how challenging it was at times and i LOVED the music!!! i had no problems while playing and it was really fun finding all the nests <3
Wildly, this seems to be an itch/godot/firefox (maybe also linux?) specific interaction that I didn't discover until launch, because it worked fine on my own server! I've left a comment on a godot issue about it, hopefully it gets fixed soon. (I'm also on Firefox, Gnome Linux, with Wayland, lol) https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/51810
I kinda love this and I think it's actually probably possible to do a complete run like this, though you might run into trouble in the factory level that requires you to sidestep
The game loads, but the loading bar just stays empty until it does? (safari/chrome on macos). Better to have the word loading than to have an empty bar?
There was a time I thought I was an egg. This made me realize I was very naive in my foolish notions. I would like to think that I now can really comprehend and embrace egg. Thank you for the eggsperience, Terry. Always a wonderful surprise in store with all you do.
Masterful... I love all the subtle touches that make things more forgiving: the instant restart option, grating off the water level so you know you don't need to explore further there, the completion tells on the transporters, the frequent checkpoints. I was bracing myself to get frustrated but it was just pure joy from start to finish.
My nest order (rot13.com): Haqrejngre -> Jvaqzvyyf -> Haqretebhaq Cvyynef -> Gerrf -> Pbafgehpgvba Fvgr -> Jngre Gbjre
I was really surprised by how quickly I was able to get an intuition for which jump to use in most situations. I got a little frustrated with the water tower section, but still, a very fun and enjoyable game!

Im on the last egg, someone help, I swear i got all of the nests
check around the carton?
can you give me another hint? ive done the branch/cliff path if thats what you are referring to
Which icon isn't green at the hub?
Let me download the game Terry. My browser is lagging.
I got stuck at first because I didn't realize you could keep charging past when it starts moving up again.
Also, it would be nice if you didn't get stuck if you move before exiting the carton.
Can't make a congratulation without breaking a few eggs.

(I know, skill issue...)
Yep, I'll add that in an update soon!
Cheers! :)
terry's one of those devs who actually listens, love to see it
honestly yeah, it's refreshing to see devs engage with the community like this instead of just dropping a game and vanishing
nice pun
a downloadable would be nice!
+1, web build stutters when it loads stuff
Terry I have been egged and I loved it, what a game.
cool egg game its like jumping
fun concept, i like the multi level jump approach. awesome game except for the rng level at the end, did not enjoy that lol
egg.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) egg(s)
best interconnected world since dark souls

Ahh I see from the git comment that fullscreen works! I am now successfully egging.
It’s addictive and frustrating, with great physics, probably the best game I’ve played on Itch.io! I recorded and uploaded, hope that’s okay?
egg
Nice game. You should see if you can work this into the multiplayer eggxtraction arena genre.
Fun!
Very hard to get out of the tubes. Also you can get the "trembling" animation stuck if you manage to activate the tube but also jump out.
the musoc and atmosphere were very nice, so nice i was expecting deep egg lore to pop up and wouldve taken it in stride
Eggcelent game, very nice
Found the first nest only by jumping and changing directions, not realising that WASD moves the egg. Game seems too easy now.
jump% run

abyss world has kangaroo-mode challenges!
me too!
Go team! Did you clear any of the levels? I managed to reach the nest under water with all the .. frog eggs(?)
I found them all! Climbing the tower is hard but fun
hahaha amazing!
Egg! The floaty blocks were hell but I enjoyed the nest at the end.
Shame on me for doubting Terry and egg for even just a second. This is actually really fun and relaxing.
this was a lot of fun!
eggcellent
Eggs I guess.
i love a charge jump!

Ohh, thanks - will look into what's going on here. (Adding a loading image is a good call too)

first ever egg-like
This is exactly what I was looking for
Hi, Terry. Fabulous! I really love the look.
eggcellent
Just so beautiful
A true eggsploration game. So fun!

I agree, all those "quality of life" features makes what could have been a very frustrating experience instead a very fun time.

Doesn't work on Firefox Linux unless you're signed into itch.
That's weird; seems to work for me in Firefox Linux from a private browser window? Maybe it was just a temporary glitch on itch?
