I beat it yay

Great! Love the simplicity! I would like if there was a update!

I gotta write again to say ya know, this game could be a full fledged release if it had more levels and was expanded a bit.
It really is the exact kind of game I love, extremely fast and dead on controls, retro style Atari 2600, great playability and very easy to just pick up and play and get into. It's a shame that there isn't more however, I would gladly purchase a more full version. 8)

I'm gonna keep sayin' it... I got a new job that pays great but is very stressful and this game is perfect to come unwind to!
If you made a sequel or made it larger and more epic it's something I would gladly pay full price for. It's that good.
Already paid for this version even though it's free, just wanted
to show my appreciation. The SPEED and CONTROLS are DEAD ON.
The aesthetics and sound? PERFECT. I just keep feeling sad that
it may not ever be anything more and that you might not know what a gem you have. 8) I feel the same about the game "Bobo
Robot" which I loved but it's like it's just 1 level of something that
should be an entire game! You got my money man if you ever wanna enhance it or make a sequel! Like maybe make it HUGE so you have to save games and take lots of hours to complete?
Just do everything you're doing but bigger and better?
Weapons maybe? hehhe I love even that it has swimming sections!

good simple and fun platformer !

I only wish he could fly.. Anyways, amazing game that took me back to the wild 90s

Flying would rock! 8) I want a sequel! 8) And weapons!

Strong Atari vibes. Great work! :D

Wholesome platformer with a nice variation of levels, tasks and obstacles for the nostalgic minds who crave intuitive gameplay

Ic ne understandest, it is structured funnily.

very satisfing

why isn't it available on mac, web version?

(+1)

technical restrictions with the latest version of Godot, and some features that aren't supported by any Mac browsers yet. Hopefully that changes soon, when it does I'll update!

it's that the reason why most godot 4 games i try to play in my browser crash?

Yep. I wrote some OS detection code on the embedded page to stop it from doing that

thanks for the info, is the godot team aware of this issue or should i report it?

(+2)

They're aware, but a new report never hurts!

Very nice little plattformer. Thx for creating this. :)

This is pretty good.

Very nice game! Exactly the kind of game I love!
Old school sensibilities, I think this is actually better than VVVVVVV!
It's kind of reminiscent of a classic old game called "Montezuma's
Revenge", even the sound f/x are similar!
I really like your design style! I'm donating $5.00 now!
Are there any keyboard commands to, for instance, exit the game
or do other things? Redefining keys would be nice too.
Keep up the great work! P.S. - Thanks for supporting Linux!

I saw this game on the home page of itch.io and wondered how could it be. Seemingly simple game like that highlighted on home page? But in simplicity is beauty. This game is incredible fun!

On MacOS, I needed to go to Library > Application Support > Godot > app_userdata and delete the Mr. Platformer folder inside.

best game I've played in a long time!

Básico, pero muy divertido :)

Love Terry Cavanagh's games. VVVVVV being my favourite. I love Super Hexagon but I'm too bad at it. ^^ This one was fun. Thanks for a new gaming experience again, Terry.

the game is funny and peculiary hard,

I was surprised

I thought it was gonna be a simple platformer, but then I kept playing, and now im confused yet intrigued.

It reminded me of Pitfall from Atari 2600 and Atari in general.
(+2)

Loved this one! If you like this game be sure to try Kero Blaster by Studio Pixel, gameplay is more like Megaman but trust me they're very thematically similar games.

reminds me of atari, good game!!

(+6)

It has a simple Atari-like look, and when I first played it, I thought it was a platformer where you have to earn a high score to get to the finish line!

But as I played it over and over again, I gradually realized the truth, and by the end of the game, I felt like I was watching a suspenseful story with my heart pounding.

Also, in the beginning of the game, I was trying to get a high score as much as possible, but in the middle of the game, I was ignoring the score items in order to clear the game as quickly as possible.

However, towards the end of the game, the placement of the score items was very elaborate, and I thought that collecting all of them would clear the author's challenge to the skill game, so I played to score as much as I could.

The last part of Cave was difficult but when I got all the items it was a great feeling!

my play through

1.1... what is newwwwww?!? WHATWHATWHAT O.O

All levels complete :sunglasses: Every new terry game is a treasure, thank you

This is a really fun game you made. I love the art style and the sound effects.

another banger from terry

worst game on itch.io ever

(+2)(-1)

nuh uh

this has to be your first game then.

I enjoyed playing all 40 levels in the game and calculated the max highscore to a little over 11,260 even though my personal best was only 1,310. I found the jungle theme to be the easiest and the desert theme to be the hardest.
