How do I get my steam key?

Hey! Getting a lot of comments on the launch post about this, so I thought I'd post a quick guide!

Everyone who bought the alpha OR buys the game now also gets a key for steam, if they want it!

To redeem it: 

  • First, make sure you're logged in to itch.
  • No, seriously, log in!
  • Go to the download page for the game, and click redeem steam key!

Here is a short video on how to get it:

If you don't see your steam key on the download page, *make sure you're logged in to the same account that you bought the game with* - the steam key is associated with whatever email address you originally bought Dicey Dungeons with.

If you're certain that you're logged in with the same email address as the one you bought the game with, make sure that your account is set up correctly (you may need to verify your email address with itch). If all else fails, you can contact itch.io for technical support here: https://itch.io/support

Took me a minute to figure out that you have to use the website to do this. it doesnt work with the desktop program

Do you prefer people to play the game from its itch.io download or through Steam? Steam's auto-update feature is probably the only reason I'd play there.
